There are two ways to bring someone else into your Oogle account. Add them under Contacts if they're a person connected to your account, such as a bookkeeper. Invite them under Managers if they need to manage the account with their own login. Either way, you never need to share your password.

Add a contact

  1. Sign in at https://my.oogle.net/client/login/.
  2. Under Account in the left menu, select Contacts.
  3. Select Add Contact.
  4. Enter the person's details.
  5. Save the contact.

To change a contact's details later, open Contacts, find the person and use Edit Contact.

Invite a manager

  1. Sign in at https://my.oogle.net/client/login/.
  2. Under Account in the left menu, select Managers. The page is headed Invited Managers.
  3. Start a new invitation and enter the email address of the person you're inviting.
  4. Choose what they can see and do on your account. Give them only the access they need.
  5. Send the invitation.
  6. Let the person know to expect it, so they don't mistake it for spam.

Only what they need

A bookkeeper who pays invoices doesn't need access to everything. When you choose what a manager can see and do, keep it to the parts of the account their job involves.

You'll know it worked when

  • A new contact appears in the list under Contacts.
  • An invited manager appears under Invited Managers. Once they accept, they can sign in with their own login.

If something goes wrong

  • The person didn't get the invitation. Ask them to check spam or junk. Portal emails come from addresses ending in @my.oogle.net. Check you typed their email address correctly under Invited Managers.
  • The manager can't see something they need. Review what you allowed them to see and do. If you can't change it, open a Billing & Account ticket.
  • Someone has left your business. Remove their access straight away. If you can't remove a manager or contact yourself, open a Billing & Account ticket and tell us who it is. Don't send passwords in the ticket.
  • You need to change who owns the account. That's not a contact or manager change. Open a Billing & Account ticket and explain.
  • You can't access something. See Can't access something? Account, contact and permission problems.

Don't share your login

Each person should sign in as themselves. If someone already knows your password, change it with Reset My Password and turn on two-factor authentication.

Next steps

  • Keep your Oogle account secure.
  • Update your contact and billing information.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a contact and a manager?

A contact is a person on your account, such as a bookkeeper. A manager is someone you invite to manage your account with their own login.

Can I give my colleague my password?

Please don't. Invite them as a manager so they sign in with their own details. Shared passwords are hard to take back.

How do I remove someone's access?

Go to Managers or Contacts and look for the person. If you can't remove them there, open a Billing & Account ticket and we'll help.
