Applies to: Oogle client portal
On this page
Two-factor authentication means signing in takes your password plus a six-digit code from an app on your phone. Someone who learns your password still can't get in without the code. Turn it on under Manage Account, on the Authentication tab. It takes a few minutes.
Before you start
Install an authenticator app if you don't have one. Any app that produces time-based six-digit codes works, for example Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password. Keep your phone nearby.
Turn it on
- Sign in at https://my.oogle.net/client/login/.
- Under Account in the left menu, select Manage Account. You can also go straight to https://my.oogle.net/client/main/edit/.
- Select the Authentication tab.
- Tick Enable Two-Factor Authentication. A QR code appears.
- Open your authenticator app and add a new account by scanning the QR code.
- Type the six-digit code the app now shows into One Time Password (As shown in your Authenticator).
- Select Update My Information.
Enter the code promptly
Codes change every 30 seconds. If the code is about to run out, wait for the next one and enter that instead.
You'll know it worked when
The page saves without an error, and the next time you sign in, the Log In screen asks for a One Time Password after your password. Your authenticator app shows the new entry with a code that changes every 30 seconds.
To check now, select Log Out from the account menu in the top bar, then sign in again.
Signing in with two-factor authentication
- Enter your email address in Username and your Password, then select Log In.
- Open your authenticator app and find the entry you added for the portal.
- Enter the current six-digit code as the One Time Password and continue.
If something goes wrong
- The code isn't accepted while setting up. Make sure you're entering the code for the entry you added a moment ago, not an older one. Check your phone's clock is set automatically. Then enter the newest code.
- The code isn't accepted when signing in. The same clock rule applies: codes depend on your phone's time. Turn on automatic date and time in your phone's settings and try the newest code.
- You can't scan the QR code. Make the browser window larger so the code is shown clearly, hold the phone steady a short distance from the screen, or try another authenticator app.
- You've lost or replaced your phone. Without the app you can't produce codes. Call 833-336-6453 or email [email protected]. We'll verify it's you before turning two-factor authentication off. Then set it up again on your new phone.
- You forgot your password as well. Reset it first: see Reset a forgotten password or username. You'll still need a code after the reset.
Never share a code
Oogle will never ask you for a one-time code or your password. If someone does, by phone, email or message, it isn't us. See How to recognize an official Oogle message.
Next steps
- Keep your Oogle account secure.
- Update your contact and billing information, so we can reach you if we need to confirm it's you.
