We built the site, and we still answer the phone about it.

We build new websites, take over sites somebody else built, and fix the ones that have stopped working. A lot of our clients have been with us for years, and their sites are live.

We work across design, development, hosting, DNS and email. If something goes wrong, you have one team to call instead of figuring out whether the problem is the website, hosting, DNS or something else.

Started Oogle in 1999 and still decides what work we take on and how it gets done.

He has hand-built pages, run the servers, moved stores between platforms and cleaned up hacked sites. That range matters. When a client calls, the person who answers has usually done the job they are asking about.

Where the name has been

Oogle has been more than one thing.

The name goes back to 1999. It has carried a few ideas since then. One of them is the reason this site lives at oogle.net instead of taking over oogle.com.

  1. 1999

    The name

    Christopher registered oogle.com in 1999 and started using the Oogle name for website work. Over the years the domain also became home to other ideas and projects. Some lasted longer than others. The name stuck.

  2. 2017

    The Digital Farmers Market

    After moving his family onto a small farm, Chris saw how hard it was to find local farming information in one place. Produce, livestock, feed, seed, equipment, a hand for the day, the fair on Saturday: all of it was scattered across forums and Facebook groups. Oogle.com became the Digital Farmers Market, on the web and as an app, with the Oogle tractor as its logo. The project grew out of Chris's interest in farming, locally grown food, healthier living and bringing local people together. It is still one of his favorite Oogle projects.

  3. For now

    The market is parked

    The Digital Farmers Market is retired for now. The idea is not gone for good, and it may come back in another form someday. That is one reason oogle.com is kept separate from the agency.

  4. 2025

    Oogle.net

    Oogle came back to web design and development in 2025 with the launch of oogle.net. The agency handles design, development, hosting, maintenance and support under a name that has been part of Chris's web work since 1999. Keeping the agency on oogle.net also keeps oogle.com free for whatever comes next.

What hasn't changed

The same person has run it from day one. The work has always been building things on the web and keeping them running for the people who depend on them. The tractor is parked. Answering the phone is not.
