SUPPORT

Slow is a symptom. We find the cause.

Slow pages, a slow admin, failing Core Web Vitals or a site that crawls on a phone. There's a specific reason, and it's usually not the one people assume.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL ANOTHER CACHE PLUGIN

Caching hides slowness, which is useful but isn't the same as fixing it.

Where slowness actually comes from.

Server response time

The page hasn't started rendering because PHP is still working.

Database queries

Missing indexes, queries inside loops, an options table that's grown to hundreds of megabytes, or a plugin scanning a whole table on every page load.

Images

Still the biggest single win on most sites.

Third-party scripts

Chat widgets, tag managers, analytics, pixels, review widgets and fonts.

Render-blocking CSS and JavaScript

Loaded in a way that stops the browser drawing anything until they finish.

Hosting that's out of room

Sometimes the machine really is the limit. We'll tell you when that's the case.

How we approach it.

We optimize for people, not for the score

A perfect score on a testing tool and a site that still feels slow is a common combination, usually from optimizing for the test. What matters is how fast a real person on a real phone can see and use the page.

Speed is a business number

Slow sites lose inquiries and orders, and the effect is worse on mobile and on poor connections. It also affects what you pay for advertising, since landing page experience feeds into quality scoring.

What to expect

  1. We measure what real visitors get
  2. We separate server time from browser time
  3. We profile the application

We measure, find the causes, and tell you what each fix costs and what it's worth.

How we bill

Performance questions.

Will this improve our Google rankings?

Speed is a real ranking factor and a real experience factor, but it's one of many. If your content doesn't answer the question, a fast page won't rank.

Our host says the site is fine.

They usually mean the server is within its own limits, which can be true while your site is still slow.

How much faster can it get?

We'll tell you after we measure, not before. On most sites there's a large easy win and then diminishing returns, and we'll show you where that line is.

Website Care

A site that was made fast stays fast only if somebody is watching. That is Website Care.

$199 per month

Hosting included. Kept updated. Watched and backed up.

Not what you need? See all three ways we work

Site feels slow?

Tell us which pages, on what device, and whether it's always been like that. Those three answers get us a long way.
