On this page
To cancel Website Care, Website Care Plus or another Oogle service, email [email protected]. There's no cancel button in the client portal. You don't need to give a reason or any notice, and there's no cancellation fee.
Cancel by email
- Write a new email to [email protected], ideally from the email address on your Oogle account.
- Use a clear subject, for example "Cancel my Website Care plan".
- In the message, give:
- your name and business name,
- the website or service you want to cancel, as it appears under Services in the portal,
- anything you'd like us to know about your website, content or data, for example if you'll be moving the site.
- Send it.
Don't include passwords, card numbers or bank details.
Your cancellation counts from when you send it
The date you send the email is the date that counts, even if our confirmation arrives later.
What happens next
- We confirm in writing, normally within one business day. The confirmation gives the end date and says what happens to your website, content and data.
- Your service runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Plans are billed monthly in advance, so you keep the service until the end of the current month you've paid for.
- Your data is kept for 90 days after the service ends.
- In the portal, the service may show a notice that it's "scheduled to be canceled on" the end date. After that date it moves to the Canceled tab under Services.
If you're on Website Care Plus, the website is yours after 12 completed monthly payments. If you cancel before then, your confirmation sets out what happens to the website.
You'll know it worked when
You receive our written confirmation with the end date. Until then, keep a copy of the email you sent.
If something goes wrong
- No confirmation has arrived. Check your spam or junk folder. If it isn't there, email [email protected] again, or call 833-336-6453. Your cancellation still counts from the date you first sent it.
- You're not sure which service to name. Sign in and check Services. Give the name exactly as it's listed.
- You have questions before deciding. Open a Billing & Account ticket or call us. To actually cancel, email [email protected].
- You want copies of your files or content. Say so in your cancellation email. Keep your own copies of anything critical as well: backups we keep are not a substitute for your own copies of important data. See Backups and restores.
- You're moving your website elsewhere. Your domain stays yours at your own registrar. See Domains, hosting and DNS: what each one does before you change anything.
- You changed your mind. Email [email protected] as soon as you can and tell us.
