How we find the problem.
Roughly this order, because it's the fastest way to the cause without breaking something else on the way.
Is it the site, or everything?
Domain, DNS, certificate, and whether the server answers at all.
Read the error
Server, PHP and mail logs usually name the file and the line. Beats guessing.
Find out what changed
An update, an edited file, a PHP version bump by the host, an expired license.
Fix the cause
Turning off the plugin that throws the error isn't always the fix.
Tell you how to stop it happening again
In writing. Often it's a maintenance habit rather than more work from us.
