Asking for changes: Quick Fixes, Plus development hours and quoted work
Ask for website changes in a Website Support ticket. Website Care includes two Quick Fixes a month for small changes; Website Care Plus has two development hours a month instead. Bigger work is quoted before it starts, and you approve the quote in the portal.
Applies to: Oogle client portal
On this page
To ask for a change to your website, open a Website Support ticket that describes what you want changed. Small changes are covered by your plan: Website Care includes two Quick Fixes a month, and Website Care Plus has two development hours a month in their place. Anything bigger is quoted before it starts.
What your plan covers
| Plan | Included each month | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Website Care | Two Quick Fixes | A new photo, updated wording, adding a post you've written |
| Website Care Plus | Two development hours, in place of the Quick Fixes | Larger changes and improvements that fit within the hours |
A Quick Fix is a small change that takes about fifteen minutes or less. Quick Fixes don't roll over: if you use one this month, you still have two next month, but unused ones don't carry forward. Unused Plus development hours don't roll over either.
Bigger work, such as a redesign, a new feature or connecting your site to another system, is quoted before it starts. You'll see the quote in the portal and decide whether to go ahead.
Ask for a change
- Sign in at https://my.oogle.net/client/login/.
- Select Support, then Website Support.
- In Summary, say what you'd like changed, for example "Update staff photo on About page".
- Set Priority. Most change requests are Low or one level up; Emergency is for outages.
- Choose your website in Related Service.
- In Details, write:
- the address of each page to change
- exactly what should change: old wording and new wording, or which image goes where
- any date it needs to be live by, and why
- Attach any new photos or documents with Add Attachment.
- Select Open Ticket.
One request per ticket
Two unrelated changes are easier to track as two tickets. Several changes to the same page can go in one.
When the work needs a quote
If a request is bigger than a Quick Fix or your remaining hours, we'll say so in the ticket and send a quote.
- Look for the quote in the Quotations widget on your Dashboard, or go to https://my.oogle.net/client/quotations/.
- Open it on the Pending tab and read what's included.
- Select Approve if you want to go ahead. If you have questions, reply to the ticket first.
Quotes you've approved are listed on the Approved tab, and older quotes that are no longer open on Expired.
You'll know it worked when
Your request is listed under Support → Tickets on the Open tab. We'll reply in the ticket to confirm the change is done, or to tell you it needs a quote.
If something goes wrong
- We asked for more information. Reply in the ticket. A ticket waiting on your answer closes automatically after 3 days.
- You'd rather make the change yourself. That's fine. See Open your WordPress administration, and tell us in a ticket if anything goes wrong.
- The change needs a login to another service. Don't send the password. Tell us what the change is and we'll arrange a safe way to get access.
- You can't find a quote we mentioned. It appears only after we send it. Check the Dashboard's Quotations widget, then reply in the ticket.
Next steps
- View and approve a quote
- Send screenshots and files with a ticket
Frequently asked questions
Do unused Quick Fixes roll over?
No. You have two Quick Fixes each month, and any you don't use don't carry over to the next month.
How do I know if my request is a Quick Fix?
A Quick Fix is a small change that takes about fifteen minutes or less, such as a new photo, updated wording, or a post you've written. If a request is bigger, we'll tell you before we start.
Will you start bigger work without asking?
No. Bigger work, such as a redesign, a new feature or an integration, is quoted before it starts. We won't start it until you approve the quote.
