How hosting changes work at Oogle today
Today Oogle's team makes hosting changes for you. Open a Website Support ticket, say which website and what you need, and we'll make the change. There's no hosting control panel for clients to log in to yet.
Applies to: Enhance Oogle client portal
On this page
Your website runs on a hosting control panel called Enhance, but you don't need to log in to it. Today, Oogle's team makes hosting changes for you: open a Website Support ticket in the client portal, tell us which website and what you need, and we'll do it. There is no client login for Enhance and no hosting area in the portal yet.
If you're on Website Care, you don't need to do routine hosting work at all. Updates, the security certificate and backups are part of the service. You only need to ask when you want something changed.
What we can change for you
| What you need | What to tell us |
|---|---|
| A different PHP version | The version you want (7.4 to 8.5 are available), or the plugin or app that needs it |
| An SSL (security certificate) problem | The exact address that shows the warning, and a screenshot of the message |
| A redirect | The old address and the new one, and whether it's permanent or temporary |
| Restoring a backup | Files, database or both, and roughly the date and time the site was last right |
| Database work | What you need (a copy, an export, a new database for an app) and what it's for |
| File changes | Which file or folder, and attach the new file if you have one |
| A scheduled task (cron job) | What should run, how often, and the command or URL your developer gave you |
| A PHP setting, such as a larger upload limit | The setting and the value, or the error message that prompted it |
If what you need isn't in the table, ask anyway and describe the goal. We'll tell you whether it's a hosting change, part of your Website Care, or bigger work that we quote before starting.
Ask for a hosting change
- Sign in at https://my.oogle.net/client/login/.
- Go to Support Departments and choose Website Support.
- In Summary, write one line naming the change, for example "Change PHP version on example.com to 8.4".
- Choose a Priority. Use the higher levels only when the website is down or broken.
- In Related Service, choose the plan for that website.
- In Details, give the information from the table above.
- Under Attachments, use Add Attachment to add screenshots or files.
- Select Open Ticket.
Never send passwords or keys
Don't put a password, API key, private key or card number in a ticket. We don't need them to make a hosting change, and we'll never ask for them. See What to include in a ticket, and what never to send.
How we make changes
- Each website runs as its own isolated user on the server, so a change to your website doesn't touch anyone else's.
- A new PHP version can stop an old plugin, theme or custom script from working. If your site has custom code or a plugin nobody updates any more, mention it in the ticket.
- A restore replaces your website with the backup. Anything added after that backup, such as new orders, form entries or posts, can be lost. Tell us if the site has had changes since the time you want to go back to.
- Outages and hosting problems come before other work.
You'll know it worked when
We reply on the ticket to say the change is made, and the website shows it: the new PHP version is in use, the redirect sends you to the new address, or the restored content is back. If something doesn't look right afterwards, reply on the same ticket.
If something goes wrong
- You don't see Website Support. You need to be signed in. Both departments are for clients only. If you still can't see it, see Open a support ticket.
- You're not sure which change you need. Describe the symptom and paste the exact error message. A screenshot helps. We'll work out the change.
- The website broke after a change. Reply on the same ticket straight away with what you see. If the site is down, see Report a website that's down or broken.
- You were told to "log in to cPanel" or "use the file manager". Instructions from a plugin or another company often assume a control panel. Send us the instructions and we'll carry out the hosting part.
Planned: managing hosting yourself
We plan to add a hosting area to the client portal later, so you can see your website's hosting and make some changes yourself. It isn't available yet. Until then, every hosting change goes through a ticket.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a cPanel or control panel login?
Not today. Your website runs on the Enhance control panel, but clients don't have an Enhance login, and there's no hosting area in the client portal yet. Open a Website Support ticket and we'll make the change for you.
Do I need to do anything to keep my hosting running on Website Care?
No. On Website Care we apply updates and check the site afterwards, keep the security certificate current, and take backups on the schedule we confirmed with you in writing. You only need to ask when you want something changed.
Can you give me FTP or SSH access?
We don't hand out FTP accounts or SSH passwords. If you need files added, changed or copied, attach them to a ticket or describe what you need, and we'll handle it.
Can I ask for something that isn't on this list?
Yes. Describe what you're trying to do and we'll tell you whether it's a hosting change we make, part of your Website Care, or work we'd quote first.
